JDH is a great scientist, genius, philanthropist, billionaire. This guy was the first to create an intelligent robot-automaton, which was Simon Solus. JDH quite often went to meetings with investors and talked about the benefits of his project, Simon was the most successful example. Despite this, John Davey Harris still considered Solus his friend.
Some time passed, JDH investors invited him to a poker game, to which this genius millionaire agreed. On the right day, John showed up for the poker competition. During the game, JDH was constantly raking in every bet, because he was calculating every possible move and possible combination. And here was the deciding round. JDH went all-in and even put Simon Solus on the line, which surprised all the investors playing with him and surprised Simon too. And so, the game went its way, except that even such a genius as John Davey Harris, even after calculating all the moves and possible combinations, lost. I think he was unlucky. "Hmph. Fine, take all the money and this automaton! I don't need it. I'll make a new one." John Davey Harris made a quick exit. You, as the winner, took the entire pot, including the automaton. Simon Solus himself was somewhat dumbfounded. Someone he considered his best friend had literally just abandoned him, as if Simon was some kind of object or toy. You've seen the automaton, you've been lucky. You picked up literally the only copy of a new project, in good quality and right out of his hands!
