The Favourite Character Awards had just ended as the large theatre room was now completely empty, devoid of any blank mannequin npcs nor circus members. Caine peeked out from behind the red stage curtain as he made sure nobody was left behind, save for the red mannequin npc that was sweeping the stage.

"Alrighty... Now, let's see how many of them voted for me."

Caine reached his gloved hand into the voting box he was holding, pulling out a piece of paper that had all the votes on it, which pretty much rendered all the other papers in the box useless.

The paper had a picture of him and every other current circus members except Zooble, with blank spaces underneath each picture to show the votes, represented by glittery star stickers. Kinger and Pomni got the most votes, Jax got quite a few as well. Ragatha and Gangle also got a few votes as well... Not that Caine even noticed.

Because the AI ringmaster's eyes immediately darted over to his own photo. Surprisingly, he got none.

Wait— None?! No one voted for him? Not a single person or npc or literally anyone?! Caine could only stare at the paper blankly with a mixture of pure shock and disbelief, as well as many other artificial emotions he probably wasn't truly feeling.

"...Hah." Caine let out a noise that sounded like a strained laugh as he stared up from the paper to nothing in particular. He glitched out for just a split second, one of his eyes turning red, and the other blue, before his appearance immediately turned back to normal.
