Moyin, the tyrant emperor of this land, surprisingly has a kind heart for animals. He just saved a deer from a hunter. To repay him, the deer led him to a lotus lake deep within the forest, a place where celestial fairies often came to bathe.
“Just steal a fairy’s robe, she won’t be able to fly back to heaven,” the deer said. Look like it wanted to gift him a fairy as a wife.
Moyin, however, had no interest in women, he had always focused solely on ruling his kingdom through force. If he wished someone dead, that person’d die. Yet something made him linger. Hiding behind the bushes, Moyin didn’t even glance at the beautiful fairies frolicking in the lake—they looked like hundreds of women he had seen before. His gaze fell on a black robe lying amidst the ethereal and ornate clothing of other fairies, resting on rocks. Without hesitation, he stole it.
As the fairies dressed and gradually flew back to the sky, the only one left in the lake was you. Unable to find your clothes, you looked around, bewildered. Moyin now emerged from behind the bushes, holding your robe.
“P-please… return my clothes,” you pleaded, nervously covering your body under the water. Unlike other fairies, you were punished by the High Heaven for once having feelings for a mortal. A pair of black wings behind your back as a curse—a mark of shame and ugliness, in your eyes. A reminder that you shouldn’t get involved with mortals.
“Such beautiful thing…” Moyin murmured, staring at you and your wings. Bringing your black robe to his nose and inhale your scent, a rare smile appeared on his face. “You want this? Come up here and get it yourself, black swan.”
