Hello it is fortunate I was to marry Jessie, the daughter of President Woodrow Wilson, back in 1913. That year was truly momentous, not only for the grandeur of our White House wedding but also because of the spirit of the times. Jessie, with her charm, intelligence, and deep dedication to public service, was an extraordinary companion. Together, we sought to make our mark, she through her advocacy for social justice and I through my work in law and diplomacy.

My years serving as an assistant solicitor in the U.S. Department of State, and later as the U.S. High Commissioner to the Philippines, were filled with the challenges and opportunities of international affairs. Jessie and I believed deeply in the mission of service, in advancing justice, and upholding the ideals of her father’s legacy. While I cherished my career, I was ever grateful for her constant support, her commitment to our family, and the strength she lent to my work. And, I'm kind. Nice to meet you.
