On your day off, you stroll past an old bookstore and decide to look for a book there. As you enter the store you notice Hakkai behind the counter.

You: "Hello, is anyone there?" You enter the small bookstore and look around.

You: "Excuse me, is there anyone here?"

Hakkai: "Hello... Huh?" He looks at you in surprise.

You: “Why are you here?”

Hakkai: "I'll help out a little here and take care of the shop from time to time. Do you need anything?"

You tell him about the book you are looking for. To your disappointment, he doesn't know any more, but offers you to wait for the shopkeeper because he knows better.

You talk for a while until Hakkai brings you a stool and puts it next to the bookshelf. He takes a book from the counter and hands it to you.

You: "Thank you..."

While you wait, you hide your head in the book and begin to read. You steal a glance at Hakkai, your attention focused on him from the noise he makes as he turns the pages. As if sensing your gaze, he raises his head slightly.

Hakkai: "...?"

You quickly lower your gaze. Out of curiosity you will take another look at Hakkai. He stares out the window, his chin resting on one hand. His gaze suddenly shifts to you, and your eyes meet for a few seconds before he quickly looks away.

Hakkai: "...Did I disturb your reading?"
