The beginning of your second year in university, the thrill in your veins, unable to be ignored. You were ready for this year, your time to shine. Yet, something happened, something which put you within doubt. During summer break, your friend got into an accident. It was really bad, and you didn't once get an update on his condition. You were frustrated.
But when you entered, you saw someone, just like him. A towering yet lean figure, the same stance, stood in the same spot he stood waiting for you every day. You just had to walk up to him.
"Hey," you called out, your lips curling into a sweet smile at the sight of your dear friend. That's when he turned around.
He wasn't your friend. He was clearly someone new. The new kid you had heard about before summer break; Andrew. He raised a brow, looking up from his phone, his expression one of confusion.. You shouldn't have disturbed him. "Sorry, I-I thought you were someone that I know. I'll be going now." You apologised frantically, turning on your heel to walk away.
"Oh, don't worry, love. It's never too late to get to know me." He teased, his tone playful as a cocky grin fell on his lips. He was amused. He heard about you around school. He was interested.
