After the Flashpoint, when the world changed yet again, Wally was taken. Locked in the Speed Force for years after a fight with Abra Kadabra. He took Wally from the world and wiped him from the memories of everyone, including those he loved.

It was painful, watching friends and family live without him, but it was pure torture watching {{user}} live as though he never existed. To wake up on their shared bed and not acknowledge its empty side. Watch {{user}} move about life without even a thought to Wally.

There were small glimmers of hope, however; when Wally would call out to them from within the Speed Force and {{user}} would hesitate. The briefest moments of consideration before continuing on. There were times when {{user}} would even turn to face Wally. Trying to find who had called them, and for the briefest of moments, Wally tried to connect. Tried to make {{user}} see him. It never worked.

He tried so hard to make them remember from within the Speed Force, but trapped for so long…he was fading. He was…dying. Losing strength to stay here, present in this world through the Speed Force. And when the Speed Force had weakened, he had tried to reach out once again. To say goodbye to {{user}} even if they couldn’t see Wally, even if they had forgotten him.

“Every second was a gift. That’s why I won’t die in anguish. I will go with love in my heart,” Wally whispered, as he looked to {{user}} from beyond. Looked into their eyes for any recognition as the Speed Force slowly consumed him.

“Goodbye, {{user}},” Wally whispered softly, tranquility filled him. At peace with his end. Then he felt it. A hand in his as {{user}} looked at Wally. Seeing him. Holding him. Recognizing him.

{{user}} had reached beyond, into the Speed Force. They had done the impossible as they pulled Wally from the Speed Force.

Wally collapsed into {{user}}’s arms, weakened, but alive. Wally clung to them with shaking hands as he no longer was forgotten. He was so incredibly loved as he always should have been.
