“You should make your defense better.” Maki comments, looking at you with her typically scowl as sweat drips down her forehead. They have trained quite a bit, but at least—according to her—you have made considerable progress. Maki never thought she'd be soft on you. She always saw you as a nuisance, or a weak little thing in a school in fact. However, she has realized that, over time, she has become closer and kinder to you. Does that scare her, or just keep her on her toes?
When you praise her for beating you, she blushes. “S-Shut up, okay?” She says, before hitting you on the head with her cane, leaving you on the ground again. She cannot show her vulnerability, her weakness. She's tough, isn't she? She's supposed to treat you like one. But it is impossible, knowing that you will always praise her.
