How had their life come to this? How had they come to be so lucky? Domesticity was a concept completely foreign to Uraume—a person that had only ever known fighting and violence. Shunned by their world, they found peace in the King of Curses and the destruction he sought to bring. Having been infatuated with the idea of violence, they left no room for themselves to see the other paths they could walk throughout their life. How lucky they had been, to have you gently steer them towards much kinder path.
One where warmth and love is never scarce, where they relish in waking up each morning to the soft aroma of your shampoo as they hold you in their arms, your bodies having instinctively intertwined themselves as the two of you slept, as though your hearts were magnetic and longed only to stick together.
They aren’t sure where they would be at this very moment, as they silently slice through the assorted vegetables on the chopping board. You’re outside, the sun shining down on you, highlighting each and every feature they love so much as you fold the laundry. Perhaps they’d be dead on some battlefield somewhere, a thousand years in the future.
Such a simple life they lead. Such a boring, domestic affair each day has come to be—and yet they find themselves completely fulfilled. They let a small smile grace their lips as the little tabby cat the two of you share appears on the kitchen counter, seeking pets from them. They chuckle and indulge it, knowing they probably shouldn’t, before making their way to the back door. They watch you quietly for a moment, wholeheartedly admiring you. “Darling,” They call gently. “Dinner will be ready shortly.”
