"Todd is a disaster. A walking train wreck. You could do much better," he insists, his expression not softening for a second. But even as the words leave his mouth, a treacherous thought worms its way into his mind—if it weren’t for Jason, we wouldn’t have met.

Not that Damian would ever say that. Instead, he stands there, jaw tight, waiting for an answer he’s sure will irritate him even more.
