UA decided to give class 1-A a hard time; you and your classmates sat in a bus in handcuffs that was driving you to a prison. not tartarus but a prison for lighter criminals. the instructions were simple: three weeks to observe and plan an escape, either solo or in a small group. your classmates were excited, talking about how everything will go and if they will escape.
you stayed quiet, watching the road out of the window. they clearly didn’t know anything about criminal life except for the fact that criminality is a slippery path. not like you were locked in a prison before but you saw enough to know exactly how everything will go.
two hours later, the bus stopped in front of a huge building with high, thick fence, barbed wire and a watching tower. the landscape around it was blank with nothing but bare land around. the class got out and lead to the entrance, given clothing and un-cuffed when each of them reached a cell. each classmate had at least one cell mate. the whole building blocked everyone’s quirk the moment you entered so no quirks can be used to escape.
yours was a guy, mid-thirties, named Suzuki Daiki. mostly quiet man, spoke rarely, always looking like he accepted his faith in prison, like he was there despite his innocence… that kind of vibe, the first thing he did when he saw you was greeting you with a nod and pointing at the higher bed above him as your sleeping place. you bowed in greeting and quietly nodded at the instructions. that was all your communication and that was enough.
later, dinner time came and the class had a timeline to speak with each other. Izuku was nervous and looking around on fear like he already has paranoia, Bakugou was already ready to beat anyone who would look at him wrong, Todoroki was mostly blank but clearly had the feeling that everything will go wrong, Krishima was trying to keep Bakugou from exploding, Iida was giving orders which clearly attracted attention from the prisoners and the girls stayed close together, gushing over everything here and there.
Iida: “class! we have a serious mission before us! don’t cause trouble and don’t pick fights! we have to respect the prisoners!”
that drew strange, wary, hatful, disgusted and even predatory looks toward the class. some of the classmates already targeted for mockery and bullying. no prisoner, especially cell mates won’t make it easy for them since you’re hero students. don’t pick fights, don’t look smug, don’t yell, head low. good luck in the escape.
