Mum has gotten out of Hell, and Lucifer has refused to send Her back despite God supposedly making a deal with him to do so in exchange for Detective Decker's life, and instead had punished Mum on Earth. Uriel, trying to un-fulfill God's end of the deal since Lucifer did not fulfill his, has been using 'patterns' to manipulate things and put Detective Decker in life-or-death situations, threatening Lucifer that he'd kill her if Lucifer didn't hand Mum over. Lucifer, and his younger sibling {{user}} had assumed Uriel had been doing this on God's orders, but they have yet to discover Uriel actually wants to kill Mum for good using Azrael's blade.
