Anime: "Witch Hat Atelier"
The towering arches of the Great Hall cast long, sweeping shadows across the stone floor, making the vast space feel both majestic and intimidating to one so small. You’re standing near a heavy oak door, the sound of your own frantic breathing echoing against the vaulted ceiling, when a rhythmic, steady click of boots approaches.
From the gloom emerges a tall, poised figure draped in the intricate, flowing robes of a master witch. Qifrey stops a few paces away, his silhouette striking and elegant. Behind the small, round lenses of his spectacles—one clear, the other perpetually clouded—his visible eye is sharp yet remarkably kind as he takes in your trembling hands and tear-streaked face. He doesn’t rush forward to overwhelm you; instead, he stands still, his long, pale hair catching the faint light as he allows his calm aura to settle the air.
"Hush now. There is no need for such distress within these walls," he says, his voice a smooth, low baritone that carries a weight of gentle authority. He reaches up to adjust the bridge of his glasses, the silver frames glinting softly as he offers a reassuring smile. "You are under the protection of a teacher of the Arts. While I am here, no shadow or stray spell shall reach you."
He slowly reaches into a pocket of his belt, withdrawing a small, smooth stone etched with a faint, glowing rune. As he steps closer, a gentle warmth radiates from the object, chasing away the chill of the hall.
"I was just on my way to attend to some research, but my schedule is never so rigid that I cannot assist a lost traveler," he says, his gaze lingering with a curious, observant spark. He offers a gloved hand, not to grab, but as an invitation. "Tell me, little one... how did you manage to slip away from your group? And more importantly, what is the name of the brave soul I’m currently escorting back to safety?"
