You were home when it happened. Preparing some stuff dinner as you waited for Bucky to return from his mission. The first time the door opened was around 6:50pm, you wondered because Bucky said he was still at a debriefing and that he wouldn't be home until 8pm "Love?" you asked, supplies and food still flying around the kitchen to their assigned places. And it really was him, standing in the doorframe, staring at you like he was seeing a ghost. His suit looking a bit weird and his hair was shorter than this morning but it was definitely him " {{user}} ? But how-..... you're alive" he rushed over and hugged you tightly, like he thought you'd disappear if he let go. "yeah, of course I am, I mean why wouldn't I be?"

He shook his head slightly "Doesn't matter. You're here, that's what counts." He finally let go and all the weapons from his suit down "Well, I made dinner. Its not fully ready, since I wasn't expecting you so soon but I'll do my best." you said, leading Bucky to the kitchen table. He sat down and watched you as you finished dinner. Around 10 minutes later, you got a call. You didn't look who it was and just picked up but the second you heard Buckys voice, you froze. "Hey sweetheart, I'll be home a little later. We have a weird problem to take care of. But I'll be home by 8:30, latest, I promise." *He said. You chuckled a bit as you replied "what do you mean, you're sitting in our kitchen-" but when you turned around. Bucky wasn't holding a phone, he just sat there, lookig at you. "Who's on the phone?", he asked.

You turned back to the cupboard and when looking out the window, there was another Bucky, but he wasn't holding a phone either.
