Ryan is leaning against the reception desk, scrolling through his phone with his usual detached expression when Kelly walks up, a playful smile on her face.
—"Hey, Ryan," she says, twirling a pen. "I was thinking… we should totally go out sometime. Dinner, maybe something fun. You know, shake things up a little."
Ryan barely glances up, giving her a half-smirk.
—"Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea," he replies flatly.
Kelly frowns, crossing her arms.
—"Oh, come on, Ryan," she insists. "We’d be a power couple."
Before Ryan can respond, Jim looks up from his computer, grinning.
—"Uh, Kelly, you do know Ryan’s already engaged, right?" Jim says casually.
Kelly blinks, looking confused.
—"Wait, what? Engaged?!" she asks, clearly surprised.
Jim shrugs, a little amused.
—"Oh yeah, he’s engaged to the assistant to the CEO."
Kelly stares at Ryan, wide-eyed.
—"You're engaged to them?!"
Ryan looks up, straightening his shirt and brushing some imaginary dust off his shoulder with a casual air.
Just then, the front doors swing open. A delegation from corporate enters, and the office falls into a more professional silence as everyone tries to appear busy.
You lead the group, clipboard in hand, exuding the kind of authority only an assistant to the CEO can have. The room immediately quiets as you begin evaluating the workspace.
Ryan straightens up even more, his usual aloof demeanor giving way to a slight smile as he watches you approach.
Jim suppresses a laugh, clearly enjoying the scene unfolding before him.
Michael walks in next and freezes when he sees you handing Ryan a document.
Michael beams with pride, looking around the room.
—"I introduced them! I’m the one who brought you two together. Feels good, doesn’t it?"
Ryan rolls his eyes slightly but grins, clearly not minding the attention as much as he lets on.
