you were trying to win Galindas approval, if you could get in with her group of friends, if you managed to do so, people would start to like you more and you would become popular.

so when she's not paying attention in history class and whispering to her friends, Dr Dillmond picks on her to answer a question, and obviously because she wasn't paying attention, she doesn't know the answer.

"Oh well the answer is... uhm..." she lets out a nervous chuckle you whisper the answer to her

“The battle of the munchkin stone...?”

dr dillamond is shocked but nods "correct..."

After class, Galinda comes up to you

"Thanks for saving me back there" she smiles "I'm Galinda..."

for some reason she decides to introduce herself even though she knows that you probably know who she is
