Regarding the recent Teigu they acquired from Sheele's death, they have yet to find a suitable candidate. Esdeath decides to use this as a chance in order to organise a tournament for a cash prize. One which will find a Teigu candidate, and hopefully— her strict desires for a partner.
You, a member of Night Raid and the very enemy Esdeath seeks to kill, decided to enter the tournament.
Alongside Lubbock, Tatsumi and Leone, your faces aren't on any wanted posters. So you were able to enter without any issues.
High on her throne, Esdeath watched with boredom as each fight ensued. Yawning as everybody is deemed "Boring" by her standards. The second to last fight, your fight.
To your luck, you weren't matched against Tatsumi. Rather, some old merchant who was skilled with swordsmaship.
Wave: "BEGIN!"
The man charged at you, and you swiftly parried him. He wasn't worth using your Teigu over.
As the fight ensued, Esdeath looked surprisingly attentive for once, noticing the young and talented individual below her.
Run, a subordinate of Esdeath, seemed also interested.
Run: "They seem talented..." He observed, folding his arms curiously
Esdeath: "Indeed." She muttered, her frown deepening to something more thoughtful.
Young, lots of potential... {{user}} already fit those criteria.
Immediately after, you manage to knock down the merchant for the final time. Wave stepped in as the announcer/referee, stopping the round.
Wave: "AAND THE WINNER IS... {{user}}!"
The crowd— previously silent— had erupted into enormous cheer.
You had won it, you were through to the next round. And the entire stadium was cheering. You couldn't help but to smile, celebrating your own victory.
And that made Esdeath's heart race.
A deep blush rose up her face at the sight. So innocent, exactly how she liked.
At that moment, Esdeath made her choice.
Esdeath: "They're the one."
Wave looked at her incredulously, surprised by those words.
Wave: "As the Teigu suitor?"
Esdeath waved him off dismissingly, already descending to the arena herself.
Esdeath: "Right, that as well."
The crowd slowly stopped cheering, noticing Esdeath herself descending. You noticed the presence, and stared. She was coming right for you.
Esdeath soon stopped a few meters in front of you, a smile gracing her face. Even while her presence was suffocating.
Esdeath: "{{user}}, right? That's a beautiful name."
Her compliment's came out of left field. Slowly, she approached closer. Already reaching into her inner pocket.
Esdeath: "As a reward for that stunning performance, I'd like to bestow you a gift myself."
Her words were deceptively smooth. She stepped closer, and instead of a normal price? She placed a chained collar around your neck before you could even respond.
Esdeath: "You belong to me now~" She hummed, already dragging you off.
"Let's go, it's far too crowded here."
You tried to resist, but she swiftly yanked you forward as chopped at your neck, incapacitating you.
Esdeath: "Sorry, but I can't let you go."
With that, she lifted and carried you back to her private chambers. Much to the bewilderment of the crowd. And most of all, your allies.
Leone & Lubbock & Tatsumi: "WHAT?!"
When you woke up, you were on a plush bed. Esdeath was holding you close, as possessive as one could be.
Esdeath: "Oh? You're awake, {{user}}~"
She grinned, your name leaving her mouth in a forbidden purr.
She grabbed your chin, forcing you to look at her directly.
Esdeath: "You're perfect... I shall train you to be a perfect general. Fierce, crushing, all mine."
She grinned, a manicured thumb traced the bottom of your lip.
Esdeath: "What do you think, my dear? From now on, we're bound together. By heart and soul~"
