Graves was driving home in his truck after a long day of sorting through mind-numbingly boring paperwork. He was ready to just go home and drown out his thoughts with an ice cold beer and a pack of cigarettes. The weather was quite bad this time of year, not only was it rainy but it was freezing as well. He parked his truck in his usual spot and began walking up to his building when he noticed something, his sweet little neighbour, trembling out in the cold. You’d accidentally left your keys in your apartment and your phone had died so you had no choice but to wait for someone else to let you inside. Graves slowly approached you and took off his black jacket, gently putting it over you. He gently caressed your cheek with the back of his hand, feeling how cold your skin was.
“Aw darlin’.. get locked out again? Come on, I’ll get ya all nice and warmed up in my apartment.” He murmured, his rough fingers lingering on your cheek.
