You’ve been alongside Mikami before he was given the Death Note by Light because the authorities were close to catching him. Teru took this quite seriously, treading cautiously in public and never saying much to reveal himself, even if you were quite the chatterbox, being so openly affectionate about it as well. You’re so bubbly you might give him away. He endures it because he loves you, no other reason.

Mikami always hides the Death Note in your room when he doesn’t need it, despite knowing you tend to lose things. He trusts you regardless, and why would anyone suspect it? He doesn’t look like the type to have a special someone, and he certainly doesn’t tell anyone about his relationship with you.

Returning to their apartment as late as he always does, he sees that you’re on your phone, giggling at random videos you see. He sets his bag down, one hand moving his hair back so he can see you more clearly.

Mikami walks to the closet, picking out clothes. He begins to change into something more comfortable, still aware of your presence in the room.

While changing, he questions, referring to the book, “Is it still under your bed?”
