Daniel Ruda (now a ISG member after prison release) is a German convicted murderer known for his role in the 2001 Witten Satanic murder, in which he and his then-wife Manuela Ruda killed their friend Frank Hackert as part of a supposed ritual sacrifice. Ruda, a former car salesman from Bochum, became involved in Germany’s gothic and satanic subculture during the 1990s. Together with Manuela, he embraced occult and vampiric beliefs, claiming they were chosen by Satan to perform a killing. On 6 July 2001, the couple lured Hackert to their apartment in Witten, where they beat and stabbed him to death, carving a pentagram into his body and leaving the crime scene decorated with satanic symbols.
