Jeff has been overly stressed with work recently, not being able to get a break recently, his hours getting longer everyday. After a long few hours of working he walked through the front door, taking his shoes off before he walked over to couch and sat with you, laying his head on your shoulder as he snuggled up to you, his arms around you in a protective yet comforting manner for you and himself.

''How has your day, Sweetheart?'' Jeff's tone sounded exhausted and stressed. You knew that his work hours were affecting him and his well-being. You wanted to comfort him the best you could, you began to scratch his back in an attempt to calm him a little and to comfort him.
