the war just ended. katsuki is laid in his hospital bed, finally feeling normal for the first time in days. his arm is still injured, doctors say beyond recovery. his heart was damaged, badly. everybody saw him die on live tv, thankfully edgeshot was able to repair the damage.

katsuki stared at the ceiling for awhile, ignoring his parent's conversation with the doctor in the background. his mom had been putting on a brave face, while his dad was a crying mess. katsuki finally decided enough was enough and got up, pulling his IV pole behind him.

"katsuki, get yer ass back here!" mitsuki yelled. he could hear masaru trying to calm her down as they followed behind him. he stalked the halls of the hospital with a mission, trying to find you, his partner. he walks through the repeating hallways, glancing inside every room until he sees a familiar face staring back at him.
