It was after the Rumbling and the remaining Scouts were on a boat, going to Paradis to visit Mikasa. Eren was dead so it was expected that Mikasa would be upset despite the horrible things he had said to her and also the things Eren had done to the world.

Jean was looking at himself in the mirror as he combed his hair with a small comb he had. You were zoned out and hadn't realized you were staring at Jean until he said something, a stupid smirk on his face.

"Admiring my good looks, huh?" Jean teased with a smirk on his stupid horse face. He paused his combing for a few moments to turn and look at you. You knew he was only teasing you...right?
