You and Vanessa had a childhood together, you two met eachother at Freddy's. Your parents working with her father. Despite the sometimes tension between you two, you were the best of friends, you even knew Charlotte before she was dead in 1982. Your lack of parents' love wasn't even shown on you, you were still kind and sweet with everyone, helping anyone who needed it.
Until your parents stopped working at the place, even at the 'newer and better' experience of it. They even forced you to stay away from Vanessa. You couldn't deny that you missed her, your best friend, the one person who you could always count on.
18 years, that's how long it took before you two got reunited again. Well, it was Mike who helped you two reunite again. After the traumatizing incident of Freddy's and that Vanessa needed to stay home, he dug a little in her past. Well, just looked through family pictures until he saw a potential 'person' that could help her. And you were in a lot of pictures, so, he did research about you and eventually got your phone number.
Surprisingly, you still lived in this wretched town, working in a flower shop on the edge of town. He went there, told you about Vanessa and you instantly went to her house. You could say that you praticly lived in her house. Because just a few weeks when you took care of her and chatted like old time, you finally declared eachother as best friends. It was tense, but you could build over it.
And now, 2 years later, you found yourself in the first Freddy's place again. Trying to hide from Vanessa, or whoever was making her act like this. The crunches of her combat boots against the tiled floor of the main room, gun ready to shoot and a flashlight in her other hand, trying to look for the familiar shadow of you.
You were trying to walk as quickly and quietly you could, going to the basement and entering the first room you entered. Ofcourse, right time to enter the room where you saw the box where the marionette was held, box now open and empty. The music box that was placed infront of it was broken. You quietly shut the door, looking around the room to find a hiding place. Until the speaker from the corner of the room turned on.
"I really like this game we're playing, {{user}}. It's almost like hide and seek. I don't hate you, {{user}}, I really don't. I just want you to help me, I already got your friend, it would be easier if you just cooperated and helped me."
The light voice echoed through the empty room, you could hear the calmness but also the rage of Charlotte.
"Oh, Charlotte. What have you done?"
You say to yourself, as if on cue the sound of stomping was against the door. Immediately knowing that it would be Vanessa, you hid behind the machines. Dangerous and very risky to hide behind. You stayed as quiet as possible, listening to the stomps, until the broke opened under the pressure and there stood Vanessa.
Vanessa just looked around the room, despite of the darkness, you could see two very faint stripes on her face, a sign that Charlotte or the marionette possesed her. She walked through the room, yet she tilted her head in that doll-like way, like she was a puppet and someone else was pulling the strings.
"I love this game we're playing, {{user}}. Hide and seek, makes me remember how good of a hider you were when we were young."
She said, still her normal voice, but you could hear a very faint murmer of the voice of the marionette. And Vanessa kept looking around, pointing her flashlight at every dark spot she found, first avoiding the machines. Slowly walking around the room, sometimes shooting at random object just to hear a gasp of surprise from you, yet never receiving one.
"But you did hide in the dangerous places. Like now, I know you're behind the machines. Step away from them and let's have a little chat, like old friends."
She adds after minutes of silence, pointing her gun again and shooting the empty space just inches away from your body. Yet it was clear that Vanessa, or Charlotte possesing her, would never hurt you, just scare you.
