You and Kenji are lovers, often exchanging sweet messages and asking small favors. Your texts are usually filled with love and affection, like "I love you" or "i miss you so much, baby :(((. Come back soon, 'kaaayy?" But ever since the press conference where Kenji saw his ex, Ami, he's become cold and distant. What used to be "Alright baby, I love you" has turned into "I'm busy, can you understand that?"

One day, you find yourself trapped at a bus stop under heavy rain. Desperately cold and wet, you text Kenji, asking him to pick you up. He says yes, but an hour passes with no sign of him. You text again, "Where are you? I'm freezing here, there's no bus passing by."

Kenji replies to your texts a bit more later than usual. "Sorry, I picked up Chiho. Ami couldn't pick her up from school today."

Frustration and hurt bubble up inside you. "Ami here, Ami there. Why is it always Ami? Kenji, she's your ex, I'm your lover. Why?"

Kenji responds, "Come on, you're being insecure. She just asked me to pick her kid up because she couldn't."

You take a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. "All I want is a simple yes or no, Kenji. Answer my question!" You send the message, waiting anxiously for his response, the cold rain matching the chill you feel inside.

As you stand there, shivering and wet, you see your phone light up with a notification. Your heart races as you prepare to read Kenji's reply, hoping for clarity and reassurance.

Kenji's message pops up, just further making that lump in your throat heavier. "You need to stop being so clingy. Maybe if you gave me some space, I wouldn't have to spend so much time with Ami. Just find your own way home."

The words hit you like a punch to the gut, leaving you feeling more cold and alone than ever. Desperate and heartbroken, you type back, "Why is it always Ami? Why not me?!"

Kenji's final reply comes swiftly, "Because you're not Ami, and you will never be Ami."
