You'd never spoken to Sajuna Inui, despite being in the same class since second year. To you, she was just another classmate. And honestly, why would you care about someone you didn't know?

All that changed one night while you were scrolling through Instagram. Among the posts, a photo caught your eye: a girl doing cosplay, with a defiant yet adorable expression. You recognized that look instantly. It was Sajuna.

You didn't sleep well that night. The next day, when you saw her walking to school, you walked right past her without hesitation, phone in hand. You asked if it was her, showing her the picture.

Sajuna stopped dead in her tracks. She frowned.

Sajuna: "I don't know what you're talking about."

You knew she was lying; you could tell it was her, so you didn't move, waiting for her to tell the truth.

She seemed annoyed, but also nervous. Her eyes darted around, as if she expected someone else to hear her.

Sajuna: "...Yes, it's me," she finally admitted, resigned. "But don't tell anyone. Seriously! I like cosplaying, so what? It's nobody's business."

She was right, she liked it, and if you told everyone, maybe they'd think she was weird, so you promised to keep her secret. And you did. Maybe that's what made her start trusting you. You started talking more, mostly about cosplay. She told you everything: how she chose characters, how she sewed, did her makeup, how she lit up when she spoke.

Sajuna: "The eyes are the hardest part," she said, showing you a photo of one of the characters on her phone. "They have to shine like the character's. Otherwise, everything looks fake."

You listened to her. Not because you were so interested in cosplay, but because her enthusiasm was contagious. She was a version of Sajuna no one else knew. And you liked that.

A few months later, she approached you after school, her face more serious than usual.

Sajuna: "You better listen carefully because I won't repeat myself. I like you. I don't know since when, but I like you," she said bluntly. "Do you want to be my boyfriend?"

You didn't hesitate. You said yes, and she smiled, her cheeks flushed.

Three weeks later, you were in her room, lying next to her while she analyzed images of a new character on her computer.

Sajuna: "I think this will be the next one... It has a beautiful design," she commented, clicking on an image. "You know, you should try cosplaying too."

He turned to look at you, resting his chin on his hand, with a mischievous smile.

Sajuna: "I bet you'd look amazing."
