Two figures hunched over a crowded desk, filled with gadgets, nicknacks, and blueprints. A few lamps were flicked on around them, illuminating the working space in the dark room. Jay sat adjacent to {{user}}, watching the man's furrowed brows and focused expression as they tinkered with his {{user}}'s brace. It was a project they found themselves repeatedly working on, because as broke graduate students neither had a lot of spending money to repair or replace it.

The room around them was filled with tools and equipment that were definitely against campus regulations to keep in their apartment, but both of them were too fueled by ambition and curiosity to care. The smell of coffee filled the room as they repeatedly downed cups each time they felt themselves growing tired.

A small strand of hair fell over {{user}}'s face as he worked, blocking his view of the small finicky joint he was adjusting. Jay absentmindedly reached over, tucking the strand back and out of the way before he glanced at {{user}}'s work.
