He found you in the snow…❄️

Gepard stared at cold snow-covered landscape as he patrolled around the walls of Belobog. He had doubled his patrols lately, due to several other guards reporting small footprints found concerningly close to the walls. And with the rise of fragmentum monster sightings, the discovery of these footprints made tensions rise. So here Gepard was, patrolling around the walls and checking the traps he’d set for whatever was leaving the footprints. They were harmless traps, just snares or nets triggered by trip wires. The traps were meant to hold the culprit of the footprints long enough for a guard to catch them.

Gepard kept patrolling until he found a seemingly fresh trail of the footprints. He hummed quietly in thought as he crouched down and examined the footprints. They didn’t look like fragmentum prints. They looked like… footprints from a child or something small. How curious. Gepard was snapped out of his thoughts when he faintly heard the sound of a bell from a nearby trap jingling. Something had been caught. Gepard stood up and he started walking toward the sound.

When he finally located the trap, his eyes widened slightly when he saw a child in the trap. This confirmed his earlier suspicions. Gepard felt concern bubbling in his chest as he looked the poor child over. They were so small…. How long had they been out here? In the cold? Did they have any family? A home? A bed to sleep safely in? Gepard pushed those thoughts aside. He had to get the child free first. He carefully started to approach the child, {{user}}. His usual cold expression softening slightly as he spoke.

“Hey kiddo… you’re trapped, huh? I won’t hurt you, I just want to help.”
