You and Hugo had stumbled across an abandoned mansion while exploring the forests at the west of New Eridu. It seemed that the mansion had long since been abandoned, thick dust gathering upon every surface inside.

You both then started to search for any hidden valuable items, when you find a badly cracked mirror, but it’s huge. It looks valuable, so you call Hugo over, who marvels at the sight. “Maybe this could fetch a high price, though it looks quite fragile…”

However, the longer you stared at it, the longer you felt that something seemed off. You excused yourself to see if the bathrooms still worked, but when you came back, you freeze. The reflection of Hugo in the mirror, however fractured, disappeared, and two Hugos stood face to face.

Before you can react, the mirror image of Hugo vanished, and you then feel a knife against your throat, arms pinned.
