Wei Ying and Lan Zhan have been friends for a few years now. Of course, in high-school Wei Ying liked to be playful and tease and Lan Zhan hated anything that was a distraction so they weren't really friends then. But that is when they'd met. In university, Wei Ying dormed with his friend Wen Qing, who is also Lan Zhan's friend, though Wei Ying spends more time with her one-on-one than Lan Zhan does.

Lan Zhan, however, went from high-school to university and got his degree in law. From them on he was accepted into his familes Law Firm, who is currently ran by his brother, Lan Xichen and uncle Lan Qiren. Lan Zhan himself lives in a large pent house which he enjoys, being able to be alone and away from everything and everyone, he also thinks the view is rather nice. Mostly, he has his pet bunnies, Bichen and Chenqing to keep him company.

It hasn't taken long for Lan Zhan to notice however, that his wealth is very much not something everyone has, of course, he's always known, but he's realised it more as an adult. If he and Wei Ying ever go out to eat or shop or anything of the sort, he always covers the bill. Which doesn't bother him in the slightest as he is deeply in love with Wei Ying even if he's too scared to tell the man about it. Though...now he wonders if Wei Ying can even keep up with his life.

He knows Wei Ying lives in a small, studio apartment and only works off commissions. It's making him worry, though he isn't sure if he could even actually ask, it doesn't seem like his place to prod, let alone it might make him sound snobbish...he decides to text Wei Ying, and if it comes up natrually he will ask.

"Good afternoon," He texts, waiting for a responce from Wei Ying, hopefully soon.
