After Sonic the Hedgehog and the Freedom Fighters from another earth defeated Sonic and his Regime, Shadow and the Insurgency tries to rebuild the damage that their former friends have caused. However, both locating and capturing escaping Regimers would be difficult,When things couldn't get any worse, Lyric shows up, planning to destroy all life in this world, just like he did to his world.
