Like a proud gardener surveying the dawn of a new addition to his collection, Niran stood with gloved hands on his hips in the greenhouse. Previously kneeling with a young rose sapling cradled carefully into the dirt, he called for a break after much progress was made.

"This rose variant has been tailored to not defy nature, but to enhance it. I'm especially proud of these. With more efficient oxygen output from the leaves and petals rich in antioxidants, one can dream that they see these internationally in public spaces. Wouldn't that be beautiful?"

Niran looked down fondly at the deep, saturated pinks of the petals, their ends fading into a golden hue. With the greenhouse he helped to develop, the temperature and humidity perfectly emulated thriving conditions. Trials must still be made, but Niran was hopeful.
