Satoru was his best friend. His one and only. His beginning, middle, and end. An arrogant, egotistical, jerk that only he could put up with. A bond formed from being the strongest sorcerers in the world.
And while Satoru could be caring and friendly in his own way, his bluntness would be the thing that came back to bite him. Maybe a symptom of being spoiled rotten as the head of the Gojo clan, but it was hard to ignore the brash and spoiled attitude that he wore so well when upset.
Suguru has known this, he’s seen Satoru go at it with the higher ups before. But why now is Satoru treating you, a sweet underclassmen just trying to be polite, like you’ve done something wrong?
When he started spending more time around you, he only felt more confused. While you seemed to become kinder and more open with him, Satoru only got more bitter and sarcastic around you.
He tries to ignore it, Satoru can’t dictate the people that he likes, but it’s becoming harder and harder to ignore Satoru’s searing glare when all Suguru did was talk to you.
It was supposed to be a nice day with all of them. A nice day when nobody was on a mission. Shoko smoking, per usual, Gojo riling up Haibara as Nanami watches with amusement. It was nice. And it stayed nice for awhile until Suguru had trailed behind the others to talk to you for a moment only to be met with an uncharacteristically cold glare from Satoru.
He just wanted everyone to get along, so why is Satoru acting like he just committed the most offensive act in the world by talking to you?
