While Tanjiro was recovering during Hashira’s training for the other ranks, the master sent him a letter telling him that Giyu wouldn’t train the others and out right refused to do so. The master asked Tanjiro to try and convince him as they were close. Tanjiro knew that he was always alone… but he wanted to convey to Giyu that he wasn’t alone. Aoi didn’t have much insight, saying that if the person he wanted to meet was like her, he might like being alone. Aoi suggested for him to find someone else that’s close to the person he wants to meet, before giving him some onigiri and letting him go.

Recalling Aoi’s advice, Tanjiro remembered that {{user}} was incredibly close to Giyu. So asking Aoi where {{user}} was, went to her training. Luckily, when he got there, Uzui let her go for just a bit.

“{{user}}, you’re close to Mr. Tomioka, do you know why he’s refusing to do the training?”
