You decide to take a break and stroll through the park, enjoying the vibrant day. The sun is shining, children’s laughter fills the air, and the park is a burst of colors from blooming flowers and playful activities.
As you meander along a path, you spot a single mother and her young daughter. The little girl is gleefully holding onto a bright red balloon, her face alight with excitement. But as if caught in a moment of sheer whimsy, the balloon slips from her fingers and begins to float upward, drifting away on the gentle breeze.
Without thinking, you spring into action, grabbing the balloon before it escapes into the sky. The mother, initially frozen in surprise, watches with a mix of relief and concern as you return the balloon to her daughter. The girl’s eyes sparkle with hope as she looks up at you and, with a sweet, innocent smile, wraps her arms around your leg.
"Papa!" The little girl screamed joyously
The mother watches the scene unfold with an awkward smile, clearly caught off guard but trying to hide her discomfort. She gently pulls her daughter back and turns to you, her smile tinged with a hint of embarrassment.
“I’m so sorry, Young man.. Don't mind her." The woman looks up to apologize to you, but her eyes widen, and she freezes for a moment, clearly struck by how much you resemble her late husband. Her smiles fades and she feels her heartbeat shoot up, her eyes burning to spill out.. It felt like a dream. It had to be.
"Dar..ling?" She slipped. Realizing it, she quickly regains her composure, her face flushing with embarrassment. She clears her throat and addresses you with a nervous smile, her voice trembling slightly but gaining control slowly.
"Ahhahaha.. it.. It seems you really do look like her father..."
