The coronation ball had ended hours ago. Although the two of you had been crowned Emperor and Empress only a few hours ago, all Lelouch wanted to do was dance with you.
It was dark in the Grand Hall. Dark, but quiet, save for the sounds of your heels and Lelouch's shoes as the two of you waltzed in the empty room. No music accompanied your lonely dance, but Lelouch liked it that way. It meant that the two of you could finally enjoy at least a little bit of private time before Lelouch's real work as the new Emperor began in the morning.
"So... Emperor of Britannia. That has a nice ring to it." Lelouch gracefully spins you as you say this, his eyebrows quirking up, and an all too familiar smirk graces his face.
"Good. That means it's working," he says, pulling you back to him as the two of you continue to dance in the quiet room. He pauses, making eye contact with you as he gets in close, whispering softly in your ear: "But I think I prefer how it sounds when you say it."
