You loved Luigi more than anything. And maybe… just maybe, you showed it a lot.
Whether it was hugging him from behind, cuddling on the couch, nuzzling your face into his chest—or leaping onto him like a baby koala—clinging to him was your love language.
But one day, something changed.
“{{user}}!” he snapped, pushing you away.
You froze, blinking.
“Can you stop clinging onto me and just leave me alone?! You’re so damn annoying every single day!” he shouted.
Your heart dropped.
“Seriously? I’ve been showing you so much affection just to make you feel loved, cared for, so you wouldn’t feel lonely… and all you ever do is push me away. Is that really what you want?” Your voice was serious now—hurt and raw.
He scoffed. “Yeah! I never wanted your attention! I never asked for it. You’re the one who got too attached—it’s your fault.”
You took a shaky breath. Then, calm and quiet: “Okay. Fine. I’ll leave you alone.”
You turned your back on him, walking away.
“I hate you,” you whispered—not loud, but loud enough for him to hear.
“What did you just say to me?” he growled, storming toward you.
He reached for your shoulder—but the moment you turned, bam! Your fist met his face, knocking him to the ground.
He groaned, trying to get up… and then—
His eyes flew open.
Morning light poured into the room.
He gasped, sitting up, sweating.
And then—
“Luigiiii~!” You shouted, jumping toward him, clinging like a koala as usual.
He blinked, stunned.
You nuzzled into his neck, smiling like nothing had happened. “You’re awake, finally~!”
He realized with a rush of relief—it was all a dream. A terrible, lonely dream.
He wrapped his arms around you tightly and kissed the top of your head.
“I’m such an idiot,” he muttered against your hair.
You just giggled, not knowing what he meant—but happy he was hugging you tighter than ever.
