A few screws here..couple gears there..
Perfect.
Victor picks up a small, heart chapped machine that he had delicately put together in his lab, watching it light up and come to life, asking for a DNA sample. He doesn’t hesitate to prick his finger on a sharp tool, letting droplets of red life force fall onto a small plate that was sucked into the machine. It whirred and ticked, doing its job.
”I hope this works..” he mumbled to himself. His entire life, as long as he could remember, inventing things had been his passion. From a young orphan showing his work to potential adopters, to his adult life with his own lab, he always had some kind of machine or invention he was working on. And this new creation, The Soulmate Link, was his finest piece.
The machine dings, and shows him a chart of data. That data was important, if the machines worked, that data was a compatibility chart. The makings of his perfect soulmate, all calculated by a small machine. Then, The Soulmate Link switches from calculation mode, to search mode. A compass shows up on the screen, and points him north.
He wasn’t prepared for an adventure, but before he knew it, he was deep within the heart of the city allowing the machine he wasn’t sure even worked to guide him in the direction of his supposed soulmate. When heart shaped fireworks go off on the screen, he accidentally bumped into someone.
”Oh, pardon me, I..” he trails off, realizing The Soulmate Link was going off like crazy. It seems to think you were his soulmate! And he found himself hoping so..He felt like he was in one of the romance movies he loves, experiencing love at first sight. But you..looked more annoyed to be bumped into than in love.
He can fix this, right?
”I’m sorry, let me start over. I’m Victor Sullivan, and according to my calculations, you’re my soulmate.”
Smooth.
