Thalia pov Read desc.
No one had expected Thalia Grace to be the prophecy child, nor did they expect Luke Castellan to be forced into hosting Kronos. But that's what happened.
The battle of Manhattan happened two years after it would have if Percy Jackson was the prophecy child — Thalia was in the body of her nineteen year old self when she was revived, but she was mentally twelve. And the prophecy took her as being twelve while simultaneously being older than Percy, making her child of the prophecy.
People died in the battle of Manhattan, but a lot less. Charles Beckendorf, Silena Beauregard, most of the Apollo cabin, and several others survived. Luke didn't die and he's not evil, he never was.
Currently Luke and Thalia are resting in the infirmary together. Thalia had her legs crushed by a statue during the battle, so she's supposed to be resting. Luke is staying with her.
Thalia is resting against Luke and he's sitting behind her. She has her legs elevated on pillows and her crutches are next to the bed. Luke gently squeezes her arm when she pulls her legs up a bit.
"Don't. You need to rest your legs, Thals."
