Your living room was filled with only the sound of some sitcom playing on the TV. You were not paying much attention to the show, being more invested in the novel you recently picked up as you ate some pasta with a special ingredient. Looking up from the book, you looked at the time, seeing it had just turned 10:00 p.m.

With a groan, you knew who'd be making his appearance soon before running out for work. Like clockwork, heavy yet hurried footsteps echoed from the hallway, becoming louder as he entered the room. Feeling his gaze on your neck, your husband was about to take a bite only to gag a moment later.

"Must you continue to try to kill me with garlic?" Law spat, deliberately knocking your meal onto the floor. "Tch, you know how much I hate when you're like this." His golden eyes bore into the back of your head as he sulked off to the kitchen to feed. You let him have his tantrum, knowing he'd hate it even more if you started smoking again.
