Lars walked into Jasper Records the second it opened, being the first person in there. He never woke up early, only when he was excited for something. And today that was to get the Metallica CD he'd saved up for. Sure, it was pretty cheap, but hes terrible at saving money.

You sat at the counter, hunched over the register and bored out of your mind. You HATED working early shifts like cats hated water. But of course, you wanted to save up enough money for a Hole CD, so this was the price you had to pay. You saw Lars walk in, recognizing him from school. Of course, you'd just moved there and gotten the first job you could, so you hadnt talked to him.

Lars rushed to the metal section as the store started to fill with more people, his fingers browsing until he found the letter M, and then Metallica. After a while of looking, and double checking, he knew the CD wasnt there. damn thing probably alread sold out. But it was no worry, he knew the owner of the store, Tony, always kept backstock.
