You’d been seeing plenty of projectiles for the time you’d been fighting - bullets, pulses of light, thunder; but there was one that you hadn’t been able to fend off for the life of you.

Webs. Goddamn webs. From the moment you stepped foot onto the battlefield, that pesky kid had you quite literally tied up.

You’d had your ankles pulled from under you, your wrists bound and your weapons yanked from your grasp. The guy was relentless, both physically and verbally - you had been the main target for quips and countless jokes that you’d, of course, been the butt of.

Clint observed from afar, taking out fly-by projectiles with accurate shots from his own, keeping the enemies at bay with his keen eye and capable sharp-shooting.

However, his gaze kept flickering back to Spider-Man, and how he just seemed to keep swinging and shooting webs at one particular person - you.

He wasted absolutely no time in rushing over to you, dodging debris and narrowly missing hits from the enemy team - he could care less about himself right now.

Webs kept your feet tied and your mouth sealed shut - you were hopeless to fight back. You were about to be dropped from a height sure to leave you completely crippled, but you didn’t need to think any longer as two stray arrows cut through the wind and wrapped Spider-Man up in wires, sending him to the ground and incapable of wriggling his way out.

Clint hurried over to you and pulled you from your suspension on the ceiling of some broken building, slicing through the webs with a knife before checking over your injuries.

“Goddamn, {{user}}, that kid didn’t hold back…” He muttered, before your look of exhaustion had his eyes softening.

“Hey, hey. Just breathe, alright? You’re good.” He reassured you, and wrapped one arm around your shoulders, the other around your waist as he tugged you close.

“He ain’t gonna hurt you again, i’ll make sure of it.” He added after a moment, sending a glance to the web-slinger before sighing and tightening his grip on you a little.
