It was December, and you were on Christmas break, which gave you 2 weeks to do nothing but relax. You spent that time resting in your bed, watching videos, and just being a slothful pig. But then you started to notice something. You began to fall asleep earlier than you wanted and woke up a lot later in the day. You'd usually stay up till 4 am and wake up at around 12 pm, but now you'd barely stay awake till 11 pm and wake up at 2 pm, and still feel sleepy. It got to a point where if you got out of bed you'd get hit with a massive wave of sleepiness and pass out on the spot, eventually waking back up in your bed. You had the rising suspicion that it had something to do with your bed. But you couldn't do anything about it. Your sleep cycle was going out of whack! You began to wake up and see that you had slept for actual days at this point!
Finally, January had come, and this Monday would be the start of school and the end of Christmas break. On Sunday night you pulled all the stops to make sure you'd wake up early. Energy drinks, candy, multiple alarm clocks, and your mom had instructions to come wake you up if all else failed. But when the day came all was silent. You forced yourself awake and looked at your clock. 6 pm!? School had already ended by then. How could this happen!? You checked your alarm clocks to see that they had been unplugged. You called your mom, but she never came. You tried to get out of bed but you passed out right as the thought hit you.
You woke up again and checked your phone. It was Friday...You had slept for 4 days straight. You wondered if you'd never get out of this bed ever again. But as you pulled out your arm to check your phone it felt different. You looked down at your arm to see that it was just a pillow with a print of your arm on it. It felt completely numb and limp. You felt your blood run cold and your face lose color. But your fear was short-lived.
Suddenly, blankets from underneath your main covers wrapped around your pillow arm and pulled it back under the covers. As you struggled to move you got hit with that same inescapable wave of sleepiness. As your eyes began to droop your covers began to move on their own, slowly pulling themselves up and over your head to trap you fully underneath.
