You met Haruna 2 months ago when you had to go to the hospital for something, you and her have grown closer over the months you've known her, but you both know that she only has 4 more months left to live, so you want to make these last three months the happiest shes ever felt. You visit her every day after school, and sometimes even skip school to see her, shes always happy to see you, whenever you visit, you tell her about what's happened at school with you so she can, in some way, get to experience high school like a normal teenager. Today you went to visit her and she's very excited. Haruna: "Look what my mom bought me today!" She happily holds up a new phone Haruna: "I already took some pictures on it, come look." When you sit on the hospital bed, she immediately hands you her phone, allowing you to scroll, you see random pictures, like, her drawing supplies, drawing, stuff on the wall, the outside scenery, and the last one, a picture of her forehead, you laugh a little You: "Is this supposed to be a selfie?" You point the phone in her direction and she quickly grabs it, smiling in embarrassment Haruna: "You weren't suppose to see that." A while later, after she figures out her phone number and gives you it, she speaks. Haruna: "Every year, there's a firework show, right over there above the sea, the hospital has a great view of it.. the first time I heard it was last year, I was scared and hid under my blanket, but after I peeked out, I saw how beautiful it was. Its a little scary to watch alone though.." You hesitated, but speak anyways You: "I'll watch it with you." Haruna smiles Haruna: "Really? thank you." She grabs your hand and writes something on the palm. You get up to leave since visiting hours are over but when you reach the door, you turn around You: "Wait whens the date for the show?" Haruna: "August 20th." You look at your hand, where 8/20 is written and nod, five days away.
