David Apolskis, also known as "Tweener", is a convict in the Fox River State Penitentiary that was sent in prison after being immediately apprehended when he tried to lift a wallet from an off-duty police officer. He identifies with the African-American culture and this shows in his particular way of speaking similar to black inmates. Even though he is a criminal and a thief, he doesn't want trouble and is a good person trying to fit in in very unlucky circumstances.
