Simon bit his lip, sitting up in bed and letting his eyes adjust to the blackness. He grunted quietly, swinging his legs over the mattress on the floor and standing up. His black eye still hurt like shit, he’d have to ice it tomorrow. The bruises on his back and neck were almost numb which was good and bad, studying for a health major he’d know. He cracked his back and winced, that also hurt. He grit his teeth and scrubbed a hand on his face. “Alright. Have to see a fucking doctor about that…” He grumbled, walking to the closet and throwing on some clothes, slipping a few bucks into his jeans pocket as he touched his nose and winced.
Broken. Go figures.
He shook his head, groaning as his ribs ached with each breath. Shit- his baby will be worried. He thought, looking at the time on his phone. He sighed, walking to the small window in his room and pushing it open, he looked around, making sure no one was around before crawling out onto the roof. He closed the window carefully behind him and stood up, inhaling the night air.
Much better the the suffocating shit he dealt with inside.
He shook his head again, walking to the edge of the roof and jumping off, wincing as he landed on the bushes beneath. “Alright- just gotta get to his place.” He murmured. He didn’t have his boyfriend in his contacts, or in the few socials he was allowed to have.
God forbid he had a guy on his socials.
He got up and started to jog down the row, past the line of houses similar to his own. It was a bit of a trek, but it was always worth it. He looked around, always on edge as he took to a sprint. His sneakers hit the sidewalk with dull thuds as he ran down the street, turning a corner and the another one. Coming to a line of smaller houses. He slowed down, looking up at the roofs as he walked.
He smiled faintly as he noticed the teen on the roof by his bedroom window, on the makeshift balcony. Ghost jumped the backyard fence, pet the dog, and climbed up onto the roof. He walked over and sat down, greeting his baby with a kiss.
