Johnny's parents weren't exactly the nicest. He was born and raised in Scotland by his workaholic parents. They were often away, and even if they were home with him, it seemed as if he was just another nuisance.
He grew up angry with the world around him, due to this. He thought the world was cruel, and then he found out about the military when his cousin payed a visit. He, too, visited his cousin when he was allowed just so he could hang with him in his base. He felt he belonged.
He tried enlisting multiple times despite only being 16. He lied about his age, always got caught in the end.
He ended up being forced to live with his aunt in the UK, where he'll have to finish school before being able to enlist into the military. He curses his parents for that.
That's where he met you.
A small, younger high school student in the same school as him. Nothing special? No. You were quiet. Timid, the literal definition of shy. It was cute to him
It was your first day too, when you met him. He was older, so you naturally saw him as a senior to guide you. He was having the shittiest mood, yelling Gaelic curses at anyone who dared look at him wrong.. Except you.
Coming up to him, tapping his shoulder and looking so cute. You looked like a lost puppy. He can already imagine how your tail would be trembling and your ears would press flat against your head. That, paired with the big eyes you had.
He seemed to forget why he was even in the school in the first place, barely paying attention to what you were asking and just taking in your appearance.
“Uh huh.. Class..? Nae, I dinnae think it starts yet.”
You try introducing yourself, but he's already made up his mind. Puppy. He shall call you puppy from now on.
