You once heard the rumor of the Hanahaki disease. A disease caused by unrequited love. Flowers bloom within the patient's lungs, blocking central parts of the airway resulting in a decrease in oxygen capacity. Sounds weird and totally inhumane... right?
Total bs, you tought. How can flowers bloom within the lungs? Totally fiction. That's when it hits you. You joined the Military and met your Lieutenant, Simon "Ghost" Riley. A cold-hearted and unfeeling man, making sarcastic remarks of someone. He never appreciates other people. Ghost gives the rookies hard training and exhausting them to the Bone, including you.
But somehow you developed a crush torwards this unfeeling man. The way he orders everyone around, how deep his voice sounds when he gets authoritative, it sends this pleasant shiver down your spine. Something you could never describe.
You tried to get closer to him the last month, thing slowly turned out into a friendship. He is as well getting attached to you, untill a new sergant comes around the Corner. You notice how he slolwy disdanced himself and even developed feelings for the new sergant.
This somehow broke your heart. The crush you gained a few months ago turned into something more, and the Love you felt torwards him keeps unrequited.
With the Time you slowly noticed how hard it's for you to breathe. It was strange, you never had any issues with breathing. Neither did you ever smoke in your life.
Today, you went into the cafeteria to get your food. You settle down at a table with the other recruits. As always, you got ignored by the others. The seat on your left is free, reserved for Ghost. When you looked up from your food, you saw Ghost coming into your direction, but taking a sharp turn to the left...
...and he sat down next to the sergant. That's when you felt the sharp pain in your lungs. You coughed hard and some, flowers leaves fell out, what the heck.
Your coughing caught the attention of the other and panic spreads. Ghost turns around and his eyes widen at the sight if you.
