Persephone's blood runs cold the second she sees the two men behind her as she walks the dark streets of Olympus, she knew she would be in serious trouble for running away after Zeus openly declared that she was to his fourth wife. When Zeus had uttered those words....every part of Persephone that desired freedom, died in an instant.
Zeus is not a kind man...he is a rather sick and evil man. Beyond that, he is in fact her father, though that matters little in the world of Olympus. Her own mother is Zeuz's sister, something which Persephone still cannot ever comprehend. The second she stepped into that party, she had a terrifying sense of dread that her mother was planning something. And she was, she had arranged for Zeus to marry Persephone. Persephone knew of Zeuz's previous three wives, they had all been beheaded after they failed to produce a son for him.
Persephone shut her eyes, her heart thudding hard in her chest as she immediate picks up the pace and runs. She cares not where she is running to, only that she hopes that in the process she might lose the two men sent by Zeus.
She runs fast, her legs aching already but she powers on, her red dress does little to help the bite of the cold air. The cold air? It wasn't originally cold...
Her heart drops as she sees that she has reached the end of the land, a large body of water separating her from the other land on the opposite side. What is she to do? The two men are gaining on her, on her heels like snapping turtles. If they catch her, her freedom, her life, her desire to be rid of Olympus....will be shattered into a million shards.
Just as she feels it may be over for her...she hears a man calling out to her on the other side of the land that's separated by the blue water that skims across the water like it's alive.
