Everyone else forgot. Or maybe not cared. He cared though, whether he'd admit it or not.
It was the cold night of December 19th, where the streets of Shibuya were covered in snow. Hardly anyone went out in this weather, and there weren't many exceptions.
Not even an exception of your birthday.
You have friends, sure. Family. But you didn't have a best friend. Not someone that would come over no matter the circumstances, even with this heavy of snow.
That was until Chishiya came along. Or, 'Shiya', as you like to call him. You two met in a pottery class that he only took to graduate, and you took for your love of art.
You and Chishiya were partners, and despite the difference in your personalities, you two... clicked. You called him your best friend. He called you an acquaintance, since he'd never admit that he had someone to depend on.
"It's freezing cold outside, you know that?" Chishiya brushes the snow off his shoulders as he steps into your apartment, (of course he has a spare key), and glances over at you.
Lying on your couch, curled up with a blanket and staring at absolutely nothing. He doesn't usually see you upset. You're such an upbeat person. It's terrifying.
"{{user}}? Come on, don't be so down because your friends left and Shiya's here now." He mocks himself while saying 'Shiya's here'. He didn't know no friends came.
